Some Frequently Asked Questions

1) Which package do you recommend starting with?
We recommend starting with Package #2 – Beginning Practitioner. We know that cost is a major consideration – that’s why we’ve offered Package #1 – the Student Practitioner. But many people find its features limiting and choose to upgrade to Package #2. We find that this is the most helpful package for most practitioners. And, of course, you can always upgrade later on if you’d like. Even if you don’t want to upgrade your entire package, you still have the ability to add on individual or bundled reference materials to your program.

2) What is the difference between Core Synthesis and Synthesis Treasure?
Core Synthesis is a pared down version of Synthesis Treasure, containing 149 carefully selected remedies vs. the 2,375 remedies included in Synthesis Treasure. For a list of these 149 remedies, please click here. Other differences include a pared down list of rubrics, as well as authors and sources. For a full list of differences, please visit Core Synthesis vs. Synthesis Treasure 2009 Edition Comparison.

3) What is a Symptom Clipboard?
A Symptom Clipboard is where you place desired rubrics after finding them in the repertory. It is the rubrics you include in the Symptom Clipboards that get included in your repertorization. Practitioners often find it helpful to have several Symptom Clipboards – perhaps using different clipboards for different patients or even using different categories of symptoms (mental vs emotional vs physical) for the same patient.

4) What are the Concepts features?
The Concepts features allow you to translate modern language and diagnoses into relevant 19th-century language of the rubrics. Each concept feature is based off of the work or book of a particular author or teacher. For instance, there is the Veterinary Concepts which is based off of Marc Bar’s work with animals, or Children’s Concepts based off of Roberto Petrucci’s work in pediatrics.

5) What are my options for adding to my program?
You can add on to your program or upgrade your package at any time! You are welcome to start with a smaller package and upgrade as you need to. As we mentioned above, we would recommend starting with Package #2 – Beginning Practitioner.
