Technical Requirements

For Windows:

  • Cable or DSL Internet connection (1)
  • Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10
  • Dual Core or faster
  • 4 Gb Ram or more
  • 2 Ghz or higher
  • Screen resolution 1024 x 768 pixels, recommended 1280 x 1024.
    Important Note: Users have  reported issues with 4K (very high resolution) screens.
  • 40 Gb free space on NTFS partition (2)
  • 1 USB port 2.0 or higher (3)

Where can I find this information? On the Microsoft Support Site, then choose Windows 10, Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 in the Select Product version box.

For Mac OS:

  • Mac® OS X 10.13 High Sierra, 10.12 Sierra, 10.11 El Capitan, 10.10 Yosemite, 10.9 Mavericks, 10.8 Mountain Lion
  • Core 2 Duo or faster
  • 4 Gb Ram or more
  • 2 Ghz or higher
  • Screen resolution 1024 x 768 pixels, recommended 1280 x 1024 or higher

(1) Internet connection required to register and activate the program, watch the help on line videos and for program updates

(2) Partition must be formatted NTFS (FAT32 does not allow files of >4 Gb)

(3) If the dongle is connected to a USB hub, the hub must be powered.
